America’s Best Sailing School announces the opening of its Lake Erie sailing base and
Ohio
office. With this expansion,
Fair
Wind
Sailing
School
becomes the first American Sailing Association (ASA) affiliate to operate in
Ohio
or offer ASA Certification sailing lessons on
Lake Erie
. “We are thrilled to bring ASA Certification to Lake Erie and
Ohio
” commented David Bello, President of Fair Wind Sailing School.“The
Ohio
school augments our school on Lake St Clair in
Michigan
and is a natural extension given our Great Lakes roots and the outstanding sailing on Lake Erie,” continued
Bello
.
Fair Wind’s Ohio school is co-located with Quantum sails in Toledo, Ohio. “A natural partnership” said Fair Wind’s
Bello
, “We’re both committed to growing the number of
Lake Erie
sailors.” The actual Lake Erie sailing base is located at Toledo Beach Marina near the Michigan-Ohio line and was chosen for its proximity to the
Lake Erie
Islands
and their sailing infrastructure. The location is also a convenient drive from major metropolitan areas, such as
Cleveland
,
Indianapolis
,
Cincinnati
, and
Pittsburg
,
PA.
From its Lake Erie base,
Fair
Wind
Sailing
School
will offer its Instant Bareboater sailing lesson. This class teaches ASA 101, 103 and 104 in a week-long, live-aboard setting and is perfect sailing instruction for those preparing to bareboat charter or buy a boat. Fair Wind will also teach its Instant Cruiser course a weekend, live-aboard class covering the material in ASA 101 and 103, as well as classes in Coastal Navigation and Advanced Sailing.
