ASA sailing certification on Lake Erie and Lake St Clair

Capt. Dave leads Fair Wind Sailing School's Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair sailing program. He also is the founder of Fair Wind Sailing School Captain Dave is the founder of Fair Wind Sailing School and also serves as lead instructor on Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair. Captain Dave has a U.S.Coast Guard 50-ton Master License and is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor (CSI). He is certified to teach Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, Coastal Navigation Advanced Sailing and Cruising Catamarans. Captain Dave also is STCW Certified and is U.S. Coast Guard endorsed for Sailing and Towing.

He has raced and cruised for more than 20 years on both mono-hulls and multi-hulls. Captain Dave has sailed in the British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Bahamas, U.S. Atlantic Coast, Lake Michigan; Lake Huron; Lake Erie; and Lake St. Clair. He has also sailed off San Diego and Texas and in Long Island Sound. Over the last few years, Captain Dave has combined racing on Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair with cruising in the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. This past season on Lake St. Clair, Captain Dave was the season Champion in the PHRF 1 sailing class.

Captain Dominick has a U.S. Coast Guard 100 ton Mater License with sail endorsement to 100 tons and a commercial towing assistance license. He has sailed for more than 40 years and is an ASA Certified Instructor through the Bareboat Charter level. He has extensive sailing experience on Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair, the US East Coast and both the US and British Virgin Islands.

Captain Dominic teaches for Fair Wind Sailing School at our Lake St. Clair sailing school, Lake Erie sailing school and our Virgin Islands sailing school. When not teaching, Capt. Dominick is sailing on Lake St. Clair with his Hunter Legend 45 Scrimshaw where he cruises, races and charters.

Fair Wind Sailing School -- America's Best Sailing School

Capt. Gary leads our Lake Erie sailing school program. Based in Ohio, Captain Gary spends his Summers teaching at our Lake Erie sailing school in Sandusky, Ohio. As a long-time Ohio resident, Captain Gary has sailed Lake Erie for years and knows its beauty and charm well. In Winter, he teaches at our Virgin Islands sailing school in St Thomas. Captain Gary loves to sail and also teaches on the Chesapeake Bay.

A long-time salior, Captain Gary holds a U.S. Coast Guard 50-ton Master License with sailing endorsement and is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor (CSI) certified to teach Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising and Coastal Navigation,

Captain Geza comes to Fair Wind Sailing School from Los Angeles where he lives aboard his yacht in Marina Del Rey. He teaches at our Virgin Islands sailing school in St Thomas throughout the winter. After a distinguished career in Hollywood, Captain Geza is now one of our top instructors. In the Summer, he sails and teaches in the LA area.

Captain Geza holds a USCG 50-ton Master License and is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor (CSI). He is certified to teach Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, Coastal Navigation, and Advanced Sailing. In addition to teaching, Captain Geza is a very experienced sailor and has completed passages in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean.

Captain Michael teaches for Fair Wind Sailing School form our Virgin Islands sailing base in St Thomas. A three-time winner of ASA's Outstanding Instructor award, Captain Michael is a top instructor with extenisve experience. During the Summer, Captain Michael sails and teaches on the Chesapeake Bay and he has completed numrous deliveries up and down the Chesapeake Bay and East Coast.

Captain Michael holds a USCG License and is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor (CSI) certified to teach Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising and Coastal Navigation.

Lake Erie sailing instruction

Capt. Dave leads Fair Wind Sailing School's Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair sailing program. He also is the founder of Fair Wind Sailing School Captain Keith teaches for Fair Wind Sailing School on the Chesapeake Bay. He is the founder of Upper Bay Sailing School and a past winner of ASA's Outstanding Instructor Award. Captain Keith has extensive sailing experience throughout the Chesapeake Bay, Virgin Islands and US East Coast and has completed 12 passages between the Caribbean and the Chesapeake Bay.

Captain Keith holds a USCG Master License and is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor (CSI) certified to teach Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, Coastal Navigation and Advanced Sailing.
