is pleased to announce our North Carolina Sailing School in New Bern, North Carolina. From our North Carolina Sailing School, we offer catamaran sailing lessons in the gorgeous intracoastal waterway, Neuse River and surrounding waters. Our North Carolina Sailing School operates out of Northwest Creek Marina and offers the opportunity to enjoy some of the prettiest inland waters on the Carolina Coast -- and taking sailing lessons aboard a catamaran provides the opportunity of a life time.
From our North Carolina sailing school we offer our week long Instant Bareboater + Catamaran live-aboard
sailing lessons on a regular schedule. Instant
Bareboater + Catamaran sailing lessons provide ASA certification
from beginning sailing through Bareboat Chartering
and Cruising Catamaran (ASA 101, 103, 104 and 114). Typical itineraries (click here to see typical itinerary) include
stops on the fabulous Neuse River, Upper Broad Creek, and Oriental -- the sailing captial of North Carolina! Our classes are taught aboard the Gemini 105mc - a great sailing and very comfortable vessel.. The price for on board meals is included in the price of the class.

Our North Carolina Sailing School
also offers ASA 114 Cruising Catamaran sailing lessons. These sailing lesson are 3 day, live-aboard sailing lessons that provide
catamaran certification during weekend sailing instruction beginning Friday
morning and ending Sunday late afternoon. These sailing lessons provide certification in large Cruising Catamarans; ASA 104 Bareboat Chartering is prerequisite. As with all our live-aboard classes, accomodations provided on Friday and Saturday night aboard is included at no extra charge. Overnight accommodations
can be made for out of town guests for the nights before or after these classes by visiting Fair Wind's travel page. All lesssons are taught aboard our Gemini 34 catamaran.
In addition to catamarans sailing lessons at our North Carolina sailing school, Fair Wind Sailing School also offers
sailing instruction in Coastal Navigation, Celestial
Navigation, Basic Sailing and Advanced Sailing at
our sailing schools in the Chesapeake Bay, Great Lakes and Virgin Islands.
Fair Wind Sailing School also operates
on nearby Lake St. Clair in Metro-Detroit. Our Lake
St Clair sailing school office is in Harrision Township
on the Clinton River and our boats are based at the
legendary Bayview YC. On Lake St Clair, Fair Wind
Sailing School offers a regular schedule of our Instant
Cruiser sailing lessons which incorporates ASA certification
through Basic Cruising (ASA 101 and 103). On Lake
St Clair we offer both weekend classes (Friday evening
through Sunday afternoon) and weekday classes (6-9
pm Monday through Friday). Fair Wind Sailing School
also offers sailing instruction in Coastal Navigation
and Basic Sailing at our Lake St Clair sailing school.
Due to irregular demand for these sailing lessons,
they are scheduled upon request.

lessons in Coastal North Carolina from April through
