There is nothing like a blue water ocean passage.  Truly the top sailing school experience, Fair Wind Sailing School's ocean passage making opportunities provide the chance to extend your sailing with experienced sailors onboard. While these trips are non-certifcation voyages, passengers typically learn and practice blue water sailing techniques, such as: ocean passage planning, trip routing, weather anaylsis, setting and working watch schedules, emergency procedures, heavy weather procedures, navigation, and international rules of the road. Fair Wind' Sailing School's ocean passage sailing is between our newest sailing base in Abaco, Bahamas and the US East Coast. In the Fall, we travel from Norfolk, VA to the Bahamas and in the Spring we start in the Bahamas and sailt to Annapolis.
